The monograph examines the history of the emergence and development of one of the dynamic areas of modern linguistics - political metaphorology. In recent years, thousands of publications have appeared in different countries of the world, relating to both the traditional (rhetorical) version of the theory of political metaphor and its new directions - cognitive and discursive.
