Someone remarked that in our time there is no more strange acquisition than a book. Most books are read once and never returned to; the book is put on the shelf. After thinking a little, I partly agreed with this. This is most often the case with prose. With poetry, everything is much more complicated. Ideally, this is a more concentrated “drink” that should be drunk in small sips, without fuss, from beautiful dishes.
