The book contains two short stories in the genre of “a novel with history,” as Spengler once put it about his great work “The Decline of Europe.” The first (“Unsinkable Atlantis”) is an unprecedented attempt to show global historical movement in conjunction with linguistic changes and cultural processes. The second work (“Performance of Power”) is literally “looking through a magnifying glass” at a short period of recent history – the beginning of the 21st century. The narration is told in a relaxed manner, accessible to the widest range of readers, while remaining, at the same time, even in the most unexpected conclusions, within the strict framework of a completely scientific hypothesis.
