This book by writer Leonid Grishin contains stories that were not included in the first book entitled “Echoes of War”. These stories are most often about himself, but he is not the main character in them. The heroes in them are people with whom fate brought him together at different times: work colleagues, classmates, friends and acquaintances. He is only an attentive listener - one who, after many years, again sees the person with whom he once graduated from the same school. This prose is varied in topics: from curious and funny incidents to discussions about loneliness and a person’s guilt before himself. The joy and grief of the characters is conveyed by the narrator, whose main feature is that he cares. He sincerely feels sorry for Alla, who lost her husband in the jungle, or he is happy looking at people loving and devoted to each other. The stories of Leonid Grishin tell about pure love, strong friendship and eternal fidelity.
