I started calling him, but he didn’t react at all. Then I took a fishing rod with a thin line, attached a maggot, spread the bait in a bucket, splashed it into the water and threw it. It seemed to me that as soon as the hook with the maggot touched the water, a bite occurred, I took the bleak out of the water and threw it to the cat. The bleak fell on the pier and began to jump. The cat became wary, sat down, but did not walk, carefully watching me.
