Mid-XIV century. The English squadron under the command of Lord Catwall is heading to the shores of France. Not far from Normandy, the squadron is caught in a storm, and the ships are in distress one after another. It seems that no one can escape the fury of the raging elements, but at the very last moment a miracle happens. An alien ship appears above the remains of the squadron and saves the dying British. However, it is not compassion that motivates the aliens who appeared over the English Channel. They desperately need brave English archers, steel-clad men-at-arms and knights on war horses...

Автор майстерно переносить читача у середину XIV століття, де події розгортаються на фоні реальних історичних обставин. Сюжет починається з драматичної ситуації, коли англійська ескадра потрапляє у шторм, і тут на сцену виходять інопланетяни, які рятують героїв, але з зовсім іншими намірами. Цей несподіваний поворот подій додає інтриги та триматиме вас у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Персонажі прописані дуже детально, їхні характери та мотивації викликають симпатію та співпереживання. Книга не лише розважає, але й змушує задуматися про моральні аспекти війни, дружби та жертви. Рекомендую всім, хто любить захоплюючі історії з елементами фантастики!
