In the early 1970s, New Zealand theologian Reuben Davis finds himself in Israel, torn by wars and conflicts and shaken by terrorist attacks. Unbeknownst to the scientist himself, he finds himself in the hands of a previously unknown scroll from the caves of Qumran - an authentic document of the 1st century, the primary source of the Gospels, capable of radically changing all the prevailing ideas of the Christian faith.
