V. G. Babenko’s new book continues the series of previously published collections of his stories: “People, Animals and Zoologists” (1991), “Frog on the Wall” (1998) and “Notes of an Orangutologist” (2006). In the presented book, several stories are dedicated to animals, several are about impressions of expeditions and trips, and several are about the inhabitants of settlements that the author was lucky enough to visit. All stories are based on true events in which either the author himself or his friends and acquaintances were a participant. Most of the names have been changed, only a few, with the consent of the prototypes, have been left authentic.
