The reader initially sees the hero of the epistolary cycle “Letters to a Stranger” as an unsuccessful, inept and insecure young man whose personal life is not working out. During a long journey through 206 educational letters, a young man named Serkidon learns many rules of life that help him, the “ugly duckling,” turn into a “beautiful swan.” The beginning “Don Juan” gains “salesmanship” and confidence in his abilities. Often the education process is overly informative and boring. But in this case, the author, guided by the rule “wisdom should not be heavy,” wrote lively and interestingly. It seems that the presented series of letters will help interested young people become courageous and noble men. The letters are intended not only for “young men contemplating their lives,” but also for a wide circle of readers.
