A true story about the perilous journeys of the great mistress Yuliatu from Belyaev and the mighty warrior Ben-Yamin from Sokolniki. Two of our contemporaries, having gone on an excursion to the ruins of the ancient city of Ugarit in Syria, find themselves exactly where they were going. Only three thousand years earlier than they left the hotel. Will they be able to find a common language with the people of antiquity, whose entire world was populated by gods and spirits? Or maybe they will be able to restore Ugarit to its former glory? Or at least find out why this prosperous city died? After all, as it will very soon turn out, they are not the only people from our time in this world. In search of a solution, Yulia will have to visit a pirate ship and a pagan temple, and Vienna will have to establish a dialogue with the intelligence service of the Phoenician king in order to free her companion. And all this just so that she can then go on a date with one of the biblical characters... But the plot in the book is not the main thing. It is about how people of our time learn the origins of our civilization, and in this ancient and young world they meet themselves - and find each other.
