Reverend Anastasius Sinaite is a famous holy ascetic and Orthodox theologian who lived in the 7th century, the author of numerous works, including “Questions and Answers”, now offered for the first time in Russian. They relate to a wide variety of topics that are still very relevant today: dogmatic, moral and canonical, the fight against heresies, eschatological, etc., and therefore will undoubtedly be of interest to the modern reader. Translation of “Questions and Answers”, as well as those included in the Appendix “Various stories about the holy fathers of Mount Sinai”, written by professor of the Moscow Theological Academy A. I. Sidorov and accompanied by comments and notes by the translator, in which the problems of these creations are placed in the broad context of the patristic Tradition of the Church.
