In the first year of the peace process in Northern Ireland, in a land ravaged by centuries of religious and political conflict, a group of Protestant extremists are trying to turn back the clock with three savage attacks. Their goal: to destroy the world and ensure that Ulster remains forever part of the United Kingdom. Former CIA officer Michael Osborne returns to the CIA after his father-in-law, former US Senator Douglas Cannon, is appointed American Ambassador to London. When Michael learns that Protestant militants are planning to kill Cannon, he sets a trap for them. But he doesn't understand that he is just a pawn in a much larger game. Michael's fate is controlled by a powerful secret society that uses its power and influence for financial gain.
