Number Twelve is an urban legend in New York City in 2060. In 1960 this place was a fashionable club, but now it is haunted and... cursed. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called there to investigate the murder of Radcliffe Hopkins, the new owner of the place and the grandson of the man who made Number Twelve a cultural icon. A few shots from an illegal weapon shatter his dream of restoring the building to its former glory. With everyone around talking about the supernatural, pragmatic Eve doesn't let rumors of ghosts stop her from a difficult investigation. The case gets even stranger when it turns out that it is connected to the suspicious disappearance of an 85-year-old rock star. While Eve searches for a connection, logical arguments intertwine with paranormal ones. Perhaps she will face the threat of something more dangerous than a flesh-and-blood killer.
