The First World War was a tragedy, but it ended differently. Martians landed on Earth. The invasion was repulsed, the aliens captured on the surface of the planet were assimilated, but the world changed irrevocably. The myth-bombs dropped by the invaders released the energy of faith, which brought to life characters from myths, fairy tales and legends. Houses are now surrounded by security barriers, divine patrons protect cities, and heroes and monsters of legends, epics, novels and historical chronicles are as real as ordinary people. In this world, a wealthy Krakow Martian equips an expedition, deciding to find an alien ship that crashed right after the war. Only all participants in the campaign are an avenger possessed by a demon, vowing to find everyone responsible for the death of his family; a lab-created blind god; black milk addicted perfect marksman; the young man talking to the animals is pursuing his goals. They do not yet know what nightmare awaits them ahead, because on the new Earth almost everything is possible, and the real monsters from the depths of the subconscious are just beginning their journey.
