Every year, a troop of Scouts travels to the uninhabited Falstaff Island off the coast of Canada, where they spend a weekend in the wild, learning to make fires, fish and navigate the terrain. This is a tradition, there are no surprises, and every generation remembers these trips with joy and nostalgia. Only this time everything will be different.

A strange stranger comes out to the scouts' camp - incredibly skinny, terribly pale and monstrously hungry. They will encounter something much scarier than any ghost from a campfire story. They will encounter the bearer of a genuine nightmare created in biogenetic laboratories. And now Scoutmaster Tim Riggs and his charges will have to fight the elements, the infected, and even their own comrades, and the price of survival will be incredibly high.
