Finnish writer Martti Larni was born in 1909 in a suburb of Helsinki. He changed many professions, studied languages, studied historical, philological and political sciences. He devoted more than thirty years of his life to the profession of a journalist. Martti Larni began his literary activity as a poet, publishing his first book of poems in 1934. Larni was especially widely known in our country for his satirical novels “The Fourth Vertebra” (1957), “The Beautiful Pig Farm” (1959 ).
