Culinary recipes created by the people are not accidental. They were formed as a result of centuries-old evolution, and provide us with wonderful examples of the correct combination of products according to taste, and from a physiological point of view - according to the content of vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins and other components. Such dishes are included in the “golden fund” of world cuisine and are its pride. In this regard, Transcarpathia has something to be proud of. Wonderful and simple dishes of Transcarpathian cuisine are very popular far beyond our region; they are in the constant attention of gourmets. Perhaps one of the secrets of success is the multinational composition of the population, which has inhabited the southwestern slopes of the Carpathians since ancient times. And today more than 30 nations live here: Ukrainians, Hungarians, Slovaks, Romanians, Russians, Gypsies, Germans, Jews, Poles, Bulgarians, etc... The region borders on Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania. All this led to the fact that Transcarpathian cuisine over the centuries has absorbed all the best, all the “tasty” of these peoples.
