The artist Tatyana goes south to meet the family of her husband Ilya, with whom she is in a civil marriage. The hero of her novel travels on the same train to the waters. The southern sky, a riot of colors and the exotic beauty of Edgar, which inspired Tatiana to create the painting “The Wrath of Dionysus,” lead to a logical conclusion: love breaks out between the heroes.
But is it love? Or passion? And what is more important: feeling or duty? The heroine seeks – and finds – an answer to these questions, torn between Rome, where Edgar, who is madly in love with her, lives with their son, and St. Petersburg, where her wise, calm Ilya lives.
