The plot of the exciting psychological thriller takes place in Norway. The quiet life of the Scandinavians is increasingly being disrupted by crimes committed by emigrants from troubled regions of Europe. Sheldon, a former US Marine and Korean War veteran who recently moved to live with his granddaughter in Oslo, witnesses a bloody crime. Will he be able to save the young son of a murdered woman from being pursued by a gang of Albanian militants? After all, Sheldon is an old man, does not know Norwegian and does not know his way around a new country. The memory of his son who died in Vietnam helps him to show all his will and fortitude.

A veteran of the Korean War, Sheldon is already 82 years old. His son died in Vietnam, and he himself is still haunted by painful memories. How painful it is to realize that life is not only nearing completion, but has not brought happiness to either him or his loved ones! There is no one left nearby except his granddaughter - she recently married a Norwegian and moved her grandfather to a country unfamiliar to him. Sheldon is lonely and lives with memories that either lurk in the distant corners of his memory, or emerge so vividly that they are almost indistinguishable from reality. He does not yet know that very soon he will have to show all his will and determination, remember the skills of a special forces soldier and shoulder responsibility for the fate of a little boy who is being pursued by a gang of killers.
