The sixth book in the “Taste of Life” series, “Requiem,” is about the fates of two very different childhood friends. Probably, by modern standards, they cannot be called happy. (There were few such heroines among the author’s heroines). But it depends on what is considered happiness. The post-war generation, brought up on devotion to the Motherland, wanting not so much personal happiness as prosperity for the country, found joy in work, joy in the ability to overcome difficulties. And our friends, without losing optimism, struggled with the vicissitudes of fate and with serious illnesses that did not bypass them. They were proud of their well-lived life and did not forget either the military or labor exploits of their ancestors. All books in the series can be read as separate books, unrelated to each other. But for a better understanding of the author’s ideas, it is recommended to first read the book “Hope,” which tells the story of her childhood.

Глибока та зворушлива історія про дружбу та життєві випробування
Книга "Реквієм" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у серії "Смак життя". Автор майстерно передає емоції та переживання двох подруг, які, незважаючи на всі труднощі та виклики, зберігають оптимізм і відданість своїм принципам. Мені сподобалося, як у книзі розкривається тема щастя, яке не завжди вимірюється матеріальними благами, а часто полягає у здатності долати труднощі та знаходити радість у простих речах. Повоєнне покоління, представлене в романі, є яскравим прикладом сили духу та стійкості, що надихає. Читання цієї книги залишило в мені глибокий слід, і я впевнений, що вона знайде відгук у серцях багатьох читачів. Рекомендую всім, хто цінує глибокі та змістовні історії про людські стосунки та життєві цінності!
