The book includes the most complete collection of works of the “lesser palamite” - a friend and ally of St. Gregory Palamas, monk David Disipata, who, with his writings and participation in events related to the Palamite disputes, made a significant contribution to the final victory of the Palamite teaching. The most important of Disipata's works, presented in this edition in Russian translation, have not yet been published in translations into European languages. The publication includes materials that reveal the context of the events associated with the participation of David Disipata and St. Gregory Palamas in the Palamite disputes: letters and writings of the leaders of the anti-Palamite movement Gregory Akindinus and Barlaam of Calabria. The book includes scientific articles devoted to the theological and historical aspects of the Palamite disputes, and the place of David Disipate in them; translations of primary sources are provided with detailed comments
