Young scientist Richard Taylor lives in the suburbs of the small town of Waterfall City, and because of his noisy scientific experiments, he is constantly in conflict with his neighbor, retired sergeant Scott and his girlfriend Katie. Friends, former classmates George and Mona, persuade Richard to take a break from work and relax in Egypt, where Richard, out of curiosity, buys a strange item from a local Arab seller. The seller claims that this item was taken from the tomb of the pharaoh by his great-grandfather. Returning to America, Richard discovers that the mysterious object is nothing more than an alien device for transporting people and inanimate objects to other planets and back. The adventure begins when Richard, by coincidence, sends Scott, Katie and his friends - correspondent Ronald Mitchell, George and Mona - to completely different mysterious planets - the Funny Planet, the Predator Planet, Mirrion and the Three-Year Planet.
