"Extra" is a poetic reflection on the themes of life and death, illness, creativity, love and its loss. Unlike the previous collection “A Quarter of a Century,” here the author is not faced with the task of conveying with photographic accuracy everything that happened to him, his thoughts and feelings. The new book intricately combines truth and fiction, documentary and hyperbolization. “The Extra One” is intended to show the crisis of personality, love and meaning, and not only and not so much the meaning of life, but the meaning of the events taking place and the decisions made by the heroes. Both fate and the actions of the characters themselves lead them to a feeling of uselessness and loneliness. How far can the characters run from their feelings? Will they be willing to correct mistakes? Will love become a cure for the disease, or is it just a figment of a sick imagination?
