Magnus Florin was born in 1955, a literary scholar by training, and graduated from the University of Umeå in 1979. Essayist, writer, theater critic, director, member of the jury of the Cultural Council for the Support of Swedish Contemporary Literature. 1982–2000 headed the literary department at the Drama Theater in Stockholm (Dramaten). From 2000 to the present - director of radio theater on the central channel of Radio Sweden. Magnus Florin's books have been translated into English, French and Polish. The novel “Brothers and Sisters” received the Swedish Radio Award for the best novel as chosen by listeners. Magnus Florin is published in Russian for the first time.
