The book “Theology of Complementarity” provides a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the relationship between Judaism and Christianity. The author presents the difference in approaches of both religions not as a contradiction between them, but as an antinomian connection. In other words, the positions of Judaism and Christianity are considered not as mutually exclusive, but as implying each other. In practice, this means that Judaism and Christianity are able to see in each other not a refutation, but a kind of confirmation of their own positions. In particular, the author tries to show that the preservation and maintaining Judaism in its traditional forms is in the direct interests of Christianity; that missionary activity in relation to Judaism harms not only Israel, but also the Church, undermining its own foundations. The ideas presented in the book can be recommended as a model and basis for building positive relations between the Jewish and Christian communities. Footnotes are not the author's. added during the creation of a book in the "fb 2" format.
