The events of Lena Eltang's novel unfold on the Italian coast, in the Hotel Briatico - a snow-white hotel standing on a hilltop, a family estate surrounded by vineyards. Circumstances bring here characters connected by invisible threads, including the main character Marcus - a writer who has lost the ability to compose, a student who has lost her brother, an heir who has lost his estate, a police commissioner investigating strange deaths... The detective plot characteristic of Eltang's prose is surrounded by events that happened in different years, dramatic coincidences and new meanings. The content of this multi-layered and polyphonic novel is much deeper than the search for an answer to the question “Who is the murderer?”, although the reader will not be able to guess this answer until the very end.
