The book by the Crimean writer Vyacheslav Kilesa “Yulka in the Land of Vitasofia” consists of the collection “Stories for Children and Adults”, the story “The Adventures of the Puppy Tyapusya”, the historical legends “Legends of Belogorye”, the story “Chronicle of a Family” and written in the style of fantasy the novel “Julka in the Land of Vitasophia.” “Stories for children and adults” are intended for those to whom the title indicates. They begin with a cheerful event - an attic that caught fire, which allowed five-year-old Vovka not only to enjoy the commotion, but also to make friends with the chief of the fire brigade. And then other interesting stories appear in a cheerful kaleidoscope: about sixth-grader Tonya, who was knocked out on a math test, and boxer Kolya, who fought off his comrades from bullies, about ten-year-old diplomat Yulia and a lover of progress Olechka, about the initiative Katya, who was going to marry her kindergarten admirer, and about the kids who prepared their father for a military campaign. But fun does not always reign in the world of childhood. Laughter tends to end in tears - that’s why the collection contains sad stories about children trying to survive in the face of poverty, as well as about their peers who died in a distant war. The story “The Adventures of the Puppy Tyapusya” was written by the author at the age of fourteen: about the funny adventures of a village puppy, who knows how not only to make friends, but also to punish offenders. The “Woof-Woof” dog club, the street where Tyapus and the girl Tonya fought with the flayers, the ravine where the trapped bully Hercules fell - these and other places are tempting enough to invite the reader on a tour of the story for the first time published together with “Stories for Children and Adults” in 2011. “Legends of Belogorye” are dedicated to ancient monuments located in the Belogorsk region of the Republic of Crimea: the Suvorov Oak, also called “Four Brothers”, the Sarmatian caves in White Rock and the famous Neanderthal cave Kiik -Koba. The legends were published in many magazines in Russia and Ukraine, and the book trailer based on the story “Four Brothers” by Vyacheslav Kiles, created in 2015 by students of the Azov School-Gymnasium Municipal Educational Institution of the Dzhankoy District of the Republic of Crimea, took first place in the All-Russian creative video competition “Addresses of Literary Heroes.” Chronicle of a Family" went through several editions - 1993, 1997, 2004 and 2011 - and tells about the interesting life of two kids named Polina and Rodion and their difficulties that other family members experience when faced with their interests. When creating the “Chronicle...”, the author thought about how little kindness and laughter there is in the world, and tried to increase their quantity at least a little. Therefore, even the sad pages in it are light and transparent. “Yulka in the Land of Vitasophia” is a philosophy textbook for schoolchildren published in 2011, written in the adventure-detective genre. Its heroes are real people who once lived, inhabiting the fairy-tale country “Vitasophia” along with literary characters, and the girl Julia travels through this country, obliged to deliver the artifact “Medallion of Time” to the mysterious Room of Crossroads: despite the machinations of enemies and ill-wishers. “Yulka...” is good to read at the end of the day, whitening the shadows of the unfulfilled with new impressions. And, casting glances at bad weather whining in the yard, wishing passers-by a roof over their heads, good luck and a happy evening. Drawings for the collection “Yulka in the Land of Vitasophia” were made by Ramiz Netovkin (Belogorsk), Zhanna Budakova (village of Aperi, Karpathos Island, Greece), Ekaterina Anashenkova (Belogorsk). Simferopol), Lyudmila Polezhay (Belogorsk). Cover by Evgeny Potapov.
