Maurice Blanchot (b. 1907) is not only one of the greatest thinkers of the past century, who had a huge influence on the self-awareness of all modern humanitarian thought (according to Michel Foucault, “it was Blanchot who made it possible to talk about literature”), but also the author of the strange , still not fully mastered by prose criticism. Having abandoned the traditional genre of the novel after his first experiments, the writer attributed all his other literary texts to the originally interpreted genre of recit, story (for him, in particular, “Moby Dick” and “In Search of Lost Time” fall into this category). This publication presents is a complete collection of “stories” by Maurice Blanchot and is dedicated to the writer’s ninety-fifth birthday.
