The luxurious ocean liner Poseidon takes a month-long cruise for Christmas and is already returning home. By an absurd accident, the captain makes an unforgivable mistake, and the ship turns upside down and begins to slowly sink. Disaster zone - Azores. Most passengers and crew members die. Only 14 passengers manage to survive. They find themselves locked in the restaurant. The whole world turned upside down for them.
