Investigator Samsonov works in the serial murders department. When he was still a teenager, a maniac killed his older sister using an industrial waste disposal machine. The criminal - a certain Khobotov - was found in hot pursuit, convicted, and then finished off by his cellmates. And now, ten years after those tragic events, Samsonov is entrusted with the investigation of a terrible incident: a young woman was brutally murdered in an abandoned factory in a similar hydraulic recycling machine. Samsonov takes up the investigation and tries to find out whether this is an old maniac or a new one? Very soon the “frostbitten” one makes himself known: he kidnaps the daughter of the head of the police department and invites Samsonov to play the game “Try to find it”...

Книга "Нежилець" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у жанрі детективу. Автор майстерно сплітає елементи трилера та психологічної драми, створюючи атмосферу напруги, яка тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Слідчий Самсонов - складний і глибокий персонаж, чия особиста трагедія надає сюжету емоційної глибини. Я відчував його боротьбу з минулим та бажанням знайти справедливість, що робить його ще більш реалістичним. Сюжет розвивається стрімко, і кожна нова деталь лише підсилює інтригу. Гра "Спробуй знайди" з боку маніяка додає елементу жаху та непередбачуваності, що робить читання ще більш захоплюючим. Я рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить детективи з глибоким психологічним підтекстом та захоплюючим сюжетом. Вона не залишить вас байдужими!
