"Divine Comedy" is a masterpiece epic of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, which is considered one of the greatest works of world literature. In the fifth volume of "Purgatory" we move on to the second part of Dante's great journey - a journey through hell, purgatory and heavenly paradise. Virgil, who accompanies Dante through the torment of purification, becomes the guide of poetry. In this part of the book, monochrome illustrations are displayed, recreating the atmosphere of soul-slaying and redemption that the hero undergoes. "Purgatory" is a place where souls are cleansed of their sins until they are ready to enter heaven. This part of the "Divine Comedy" deepens our understanding of the soul, sin and salvation, revealing the immense philosophical and religious content of the poem.
