The Little Book, or Records of the Three Kingdoms, is one of the most famous and influential historical works in Chinese literature. The author of this epic work is Zhen Shou, who worked on it during the late 3rd century. The basis of the book is a description of the events of the Three Kingdoms Dynasty from the middle of the 2nd to the end of the 3rd century AD, in which China was divided between three powerful states - the Grand Duchy of Wei, Shu and Wu. The "Three Kingdoms" impresses with its the depth and complexity of the characters, which push aside superficial political events and reveal the essence of human relationships, betrayal and loyalty, friendship and enmity. The total number of characters in the book is more than 1000, and each of them has its own unique story and character.
