"The Jew of Malta" is a play by the English poet and playwright Christopher Marlowe, written in the 16th century. This play tells the story of the cruel Jewish merchant Barabas, who, outraged by his discrimination, conspires with the Turkish Sultan against the Christians. This tragedy reflects the conflict between religious and moral values, about human greed and power. The Jew of Malta leaves the reader questioning the nature of evil and our own moral beliefs.
