"A Doll's House" is a classic drama by the Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen, which reveals many problems of family relations and social norms of the beginning of the 20th century. The main character, Nora Helmer, seems to have an ideal life - a beloved husband, three children and a comfortable home. However, her fate is determined by her husband and society, who see in her only a luxurious doll, and not an independent person. This play reveals to the reader the cruel and ambiguous aspects of the institution of marriage and female dependence, and also calls for the discovery of one's true essence and liberation from social shackles. Henrik Ibsen attracts the reader with his insight and ability to raise relevant and important issues that remain relevant in the modern world.
