Do male and female brains exist? What about exclusively “male” and “female” traits? What role does gender play in our lives and why do we behave the way we do? How do stereotypes limit our development and our children and also impose roles?
Daphne Joel, a neuroscientist from Israel, a follower of neurofeminism, provides answers to these questions. Over the years of research, she studied thousands of MRI scans of the human brain, consulted with leading neuroscientists, which allowed her to develop and describe the concept of gender mosaic, according to which the brain of each person has characteristics attributed by society to male or female gender.
This book is written co-authored with Lyuba Vikhanskaya, who helped make this text accessible and understandable to anyone interested in issues of gender differences and gender inequality.
