The monograph is devoted to the study of the role of special events in the creation and management of socio-cultural processes. Events in the context of the development of digitalization and the information society serve as the main tool and element for generating and presenting a picture of the world. The role of events is dynamically developing in all scientific disciplines, including natural, humanitarian and exact sciences. Cognition, comprehension of reality involves taking into account and building data, descriptions, dependencies, narratives in which specific events play a key role. The monograph presents the results of many years of research on the role of special events in the management of socio-cultural processes and the construction of reality. At the same time, the main attention is paid to special events in the socio-cultural sphere in the managerial aspect. This approach allows us not to be limited to descriptions, but to conduct it in the context of the possibilities of a constructive transformation of reality.
