Sergey Sergeevich Yudin is a brilliant Soviet surgeon, a multi-talented person whom experts consider equal to Nikolai Ivanovich Pirogov.
Sergey Yudin was often said in the fifties of the last century: the most popular surgeon in the USSR at that time, favored by the authorities: twice winner of the Stalin Prize, academician, member of surgical associations of almost all European countries and the USA was suddenly arrested for espionage and exiled to Siberia for 10 years. True, after the death of the "leader of the peoples", in 1953 he was rehabilitated, returned to Moscow, again worked and operated at Sklifa, but died of a heart attack 11 months later.
The manuscript of this book is not completed. It was conceived as studies on the psychology of creativity, created in adverse conditions, and the sudden death of the scientist did not give him the opportunity to give this work not only textual, but also compositional completeness. The manuscript consists of separate fragments, thoughts, statements concerning the creative process in general and the work of a doctor and surgeon in particular.
