Sergei Auslender, Russian and Israeli journalist. Born in 1972 in Khabarovsk. In 2009, he was diagnosed with cancer - Ewing's sarcoma of the ankle. A year and a half after a difficult course of treatment and a complex operation, a relapse occurred, and the leg had to be amputated. After a rehabilitation course, he returned to normal life, continues to work on television. Married, has two children. I wrote this book to tell my story of fighting cancer.

“My book is not about illness… This is a book about recovery. About the path to take. It is very long and you have to go through it yourself. Even if there are devoted and loving people around, they will not be able to take on your pain and suffering. Think of it as an instruction on how to survive the disease, defeat it and not lose yourself.”
