Three generations of Savage and McCrae, rich and aristocratic clans, decide to spend the summer on the Gulf Coast, in the town of Beldam. Here, right on the scalding hot beach, are three Victorian mansions owned by families. Two of them are quite ordinary, but no one has lived in the third for a long time, and it is practically buried under a huge dune of dazzling white sand. There are no people there, and no one remembers or wants to remember when it was empty. It is not customary to talk about this house, strange legends circulate about it, something that brings nightmares lives in its empty rooms. Something horrifying, and possibly responsible for some of the horrific and unexplained deaths that took place here many years ago. But now it has awakened, and everything will change, because the evil hiding in an abandoned mansion is cruel, vengeful and very hungry.
