Alexander Golts is a Russian journalist who has been writing on defense and national security topics for over 40 years. He worked in the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, the Itogi magazine and the Weekly Journal. Currently, the editor-in-chief of the online portal "Daily Journal".

The new cold war has become a fait accompli. Arms control gives humanity a chance to survive. However, over the past few years, the United States and Russia have consistently and systematically destroyed the system of treaties and agreements created over half a century, which at least to some extent ensured the security of the planet. Now the world is doomed to return to the search for new forms of arms control. This book is devoted to the need to search for such forms.
