Slaying the tainted Horde Warchief Blackhand, Orgrim Doomhammer quickly seized control of the Orcish Horde. Now he intends to take over the rest of Azeroth so that his people will once again find a home in this world.

Anduin Lothar, the former Protector of Stormwind, left the ruins of his homeland behind and led his people across the Great Sea to the shores of Lordaeron. There, with the support of the noble King Terenas, he creates a powerful Alliance, which includes other human nations. But even that may not be enough to stop the Horde's relentless onslaught.

Elves, dwarves and trolls are also in the fray as two new powers clash. Will the fearless Alliance win, or will the dark tide of the Horde wash away the last vestiges of freedom from the face of Azeroth.
