The book of the famous Russian writer Yulian Semyonovich Semyonov (1931-1993) includes works about the life and dangerous work of the legendary intelligence hero Isaev - Stirlitz. The plot of the novel "Major Whirlwind" is based on historical facts and events of the heroic operation to save Krakow from destruction by the Nazis, carried out by Soviet intelligence officers in 1944. The novel "Seventeen Moments of Spring" is an exciting story about the disruption of separate negotiations between Himmler and Dulles during the Second World War by our intelligence, and the novel "Ordered to Survive" is about the last days of the Third Reich in the spring of 1945. The first two novels were filmed in 1967 and 1973, respectively, and aroused great interest among the audience.
