The collection "Repentance of Ahasuerus" continues the cycle of Athos stories by the young writer Stanislav Senkin. His first book, Stolen Relics, went through several reprints in a short time.Stanislav Senkin was born in 1975. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, worked in his specialty. He traveled extensively in Russia and other Orthodox countries. For three years he lived on Mount Athos. In his stories, the author, without avoiding modern artistic techniques, tells about the life of a unique "monastic republic". Filled with humour, love and subtle knowledge of the life of the Athonite mountaineers, the new collection of stories will be of interest to both the church-going reader and the neophyte who is just beginning to be interested in Orthodoxy.
