Sad skinny vegetation: in places protected from the wind - frail cedars, poplars and gnarled birches | farther to the north - a bush, as if twisted by disease, a creeping birch, an alder creeping along the ground, a heather | even further - swamps and mosses. When you look at these frail, bruised trees and shrubs, helplessly clinging to the ground, it seems as if the unfortunate plants want to go into the depths, hide from the freezing winds, not to see this “cursed land”, where their evil fate has thrown them. And if it were their will, they would pull their clumsy roots out of the frozen ground and crawl to the south, where the sun is beneficent, warm and gentle wind... But the trees are forced to die where they were born | all they can do is crouch lower under the blows of the wind of fate and wait for their fate ... "
