From the point of view of Soviet history, there is perhaps no more sinister figure in the White movement than the figure of Admiral Kolchak. There are many accusations against him, and they have been heard for so many years that they are perceived by ear as something taken for granted, requiring no additional evidence, much less refutation. He's an English spy, isn't he? Stole the gold reserves of the empire, somewhere secretly waiting for his heirs. Or long spent and certainly not for a good cause. Yes, and some strange admiral, about whose naval exploits nobody knows anything, but everyone knows about the atrocities of Kolchakism in Siberia and the Urals! And how did he drown the Siberian Republic in blood? Well, not the Bolshevik one, but he sank it! That's it! .. He came to Vladivostok from America. Yes, accompanied by a senior English officer. Having passed the bloody road to Ufa itself with the Siberian, and especially the Amur Cossacks of Ataman Semyonov, who did such things that the blood ran cold in the veins even under Kolchak, and after his execution, during the retreat of the Semenovites back to Primorye. Under the threat of death, Kolchak drove the workers of the Ural factories into battle, and the factories stood still. And he achieved the supply of his White Guard front exclusively by taking the families of locomotive brigades hostage! (strange, right?) and proclaimed its Supreme Ruler (what impudence!), and until February 7, 1920, when this beast in human form was finally shot. At the age of 46 ... But the troops of the South of Russia under the command of Denikin, who had been fighting since the beginning of 18, ... “swear with faith” to this upstart, having learned almost after a year of the war that they, it turns out, are the White movement! They swear allegiance to a convinced monarchist, although General Alekseev serves in Denikin's headquarters, stubbornly persuading the emperor to abdicate! .. Who is he, this Kolchak? Where did it come from and what is known for exactly 45 years and two days of its previous life? But why is his authority so indisputable?!!Why hurry? After reading this very modest work, the interested reader will receive answers to all his questions. We will even slightly disappoint him, because the answers to some of them are as simple as three kopecks, as they used to say in Rus'.True, they used to say - Altyn ...
