For more than two centuries, The Magic Flute has been one of the most popular works of the outstanding Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The libretto, that is, the literary text of The Magic Flute, was written by the German singer and playwright Johann Emanuel Schikaneder. In the third volume of this collection, the fairy tale "Lulu, or the Magic Flute" (1789) was printed, which became the basis for the future operatic masterpiece. Very often, the author of this tale is called the publisher of the Wieland collection, but in fact it was written by his son-in-law, pastor August Jakob Libeskind (1758–1793). -illustrator Boris Aleksandrovich Dekhterev (1908–1993) and his sister, the famous translator Nina Aleksandrovna Dekhtereva (1906–1994), created this amazing book.A fairy tale full of unexpected miracles and transformations, the plot of which became the basis for the famous Mozart opera. For primary school age.
