Despite the fact that the problem of Chiari malformation has been the subject of study and discussion for more than a century, there is still no single diagnostic algorithm, definitions of indications, choice of methods and scope of surgical treatment and evaluation of its results. The purpose of the work is to increase the effectiveness of surgical treatment by improving the diagnosis, clarifying the indications for surgical intervention and evaluating its results based on the study of CSF dynamics.
