The book by the famous French journalist and political scientist Thierry Meyssan is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of the "Arab Spring".This is the name of the chain of "color revolutions" that stirred up the Arab world and led to the change of a number of governments. As a supporter of the theory of the existence of a “deep state” in the United States, that is, a coordinated group of government officials who influence public policy without regard to the democratically elected leadership, Meysan traces its role in Middle East politics and the interests that it seeks to achieve.Now the September 11th terrorist attack appears in a different light, being the starting point for subsequent events. At the same time, the decisive role in the Arab Spring of some European states, such as England and France, is shown. The participation of these states in the organization of the scenario in the Middle East is considered at different levels - from financial support for terrorist organizations to the creation of a controlled media space.
