Sigmund Freud (1856–1939), famous Austrian psychologist, psychiatrist and neurologist, best known as the founder of psychoanalysis. In the treatise “Dissatisfaction with Culture” published in 1930, the author transfers the intrapsychic conflicts of a person to the field of civilization, the price for which is the feeling of guilt and discontent experienced by people due to the pressure of their primitive instincts and the inability to cope with them. The publication uses the work of Isidore Granville.
