"Snob" is a comedy in three acts by the German writer Carl Sternheim. In this play, the author deftly raises the topic of social contradictions in bourgeois society. The main character, Gustav Graeter, a representative of the middle class, makes every effort to pass as a snob and gain the upper hand over his colleagues. Through a series of comic situations, the author shows how empty and futile a person's efforts to become more important than he really is can be. "Snob" is a satirical and topical play that allows the viewer to have a good laugh at the flaws and shortcomings of society.
